The Associated Colleges of the South (ACS) is proud to continue its investment in faculty development with the return of the Mid-career Advancement Pathways Program (MAPP). Running from October 2025 through February 2026, MAPP is designed to help mid-career faculty develop meaningful goals, sustainable plans, and supportive professional relationships across the ACS network.
MAPP responds to the well-documented challenges of mid-career life in academia, including increased service demands, diminished support for scholarly work, unclear expectations for advancement, and a desire to reconnect with one’s professional purpose. The program draws on current research and the collective experience of facilitators from multiple ACS campuses.
This year’s cohort will engage in five interactive core workshops and participate in faculty learning communities (FLCs) that prioritize cross-institutional collaboration and peer support. Workshop topics include purpose-driven goal setting, career mapping, advocacy, and long-term thriving in academia. Sessions are scheduled for selected Fridays from October through February.
Up to 30 participants will be selected for this year’s program. Tuition is $500 per participant, covered by their home institution. For more details and to register, visit the ACS Mid-career Advancement Pathways Program Registration Page or contact Shiree Williams at swilliams@acsouth.edu.
