Vanessa De Almeida Hook brings over 20 years of experience in academia, with a background spanning alumni relations, strategic communications, and student engagement. As Outreach and Communications Manager at ACS, she plays a central role in connecting ACS with its member institutions. Vanessa manages communications strategy, maintains the ACS website and community platforms, leads social media engagement, and produces branded content that strengthens the consortium’s visibility and collaboration efforts.
Vanessa is responsible for key operational activities, including managing member communications and directing the ACS Tuition Exchange Program. In this role, she works closely with member campuses and families to facilitate access to affordable higher education opportunities. Known for her attention to detail and people-centered approach, she ensures that faculty, administrators, and students alike benefit from the consortium’s programs and resources.
Prior to joining ACS in 2020, Vanessa served as Associate Director of Engagement at St. Francis College, where she led alumni outreach and communications strategy. She oversaw all alumni-facing content, ranging from the College’s magazine and newsletters to digital campaigns and event materials, and played a key role in strengthening alumni relations through targeted programs and high-impact events.
A graduate of St. Francis College in New York, she is a published writer, and member of the national Duns Scotus Honor Society.
